One of my 4th graders!

One of my students, Manasseh, does amazing Michael Jackson impersonations. He is an incredible dancer--especially for 9 years old!

Isn't he a phenomenal dancer!?

I just found out from Manasseh that his sister is the girl in the video. I teach both of them.

This is our mission to the moon...

My Mymy

This past weekend we kept little Mymy while her parents went to see U2 in Chicago and happened to meet Bono and all of U2....

Here is a pic of me and Mya as we were leaving the St. Louis Art Festival in downtown Clayton. We loved it and had tons of fun.

Walter and I felt so special and honored to care for her for the weekend. More pics to come!

Our Red Medallion Duvet Set...

Suite dreams. Gorgeous medallion motif draws its inspiration from the designs of the Ottoman Empire of the 16th century, with red showcased as the significant color of the period. (Made in Turkey.)

I love this one because Solomon is running out from under the bed!

I have been eyeing this bedding for quite some time. I was excited to see it go on sale today. It was so fun to get new bedding because we haven't bought bedding since we first got married (3 years ago) and surprisingly our bedding we registered for didn't hold up as well as we thought it would. It was quite beat up. So this was a fun and exciting purchase for me and of course I couldn't pass up the great deal (30% off).

PS: I wish we could paint our walls. Oh, that will be the fun in buying a house one day (post-seminary).

New Bedding!

I am so excited I just got this bedding on sale at World Market for $67! The whole set. I love it!
I will post pics of our bedroom soon!

Interesting...

HAPPY BIRTHDAY CHRISTINA!

I hope you have a FABULOUS birthday today Christina!

I enjoyed celebrating Christina's birthday with her and her closest friends last night. Here are some pictures from Christina's Bday celebration at La Salsa...

Stephanie, Christina, and me. I got to know Stephanie a little bit this summer while taking Apologetics and Outreach. I enjoyed catching up with her and getting to know her better last night.

I love this picture...what a sweet friend.

My friend, Hillary, who is an MDiv student and also part time dog trainer! I learn a lot just talking to her about dog training. She has lots of great wisdom for us!

(It was a coincidence that Christina and I wore the same color! We got some cute pics in our blue.)

Feliz Cumpleanos Christina!

For some reason I have gotten more into blogging recently probably because I have taken a lot more pictures lately. Usually I am lazy and never download them, but since I have this wonderful 3 day weekend, I thought I would upload some and share them on my blog...

Tonight I am going out with my friend Christina and some other Covenant ladies to celebrate her birthday at La Salsa. I am excited to celebrate with her.

Christina and I met in our Communicating the Gospel class last spring and hit it off right away. She is from D.C. and is one of the few females who is doing the MDiv program here at Covenant (the same program Walter is in). She was a Spanish teacher before moving here and she loves puppies. We always share teacher stories/moments and things about our dogs. Christina was so sad when she found out we had to put Sinclair down. She loves our dogs. She especially loved Sinclair because her family has two Maltipoos. She misses them and understood how we felt when we lost our little pup. Christina is one of the most joyful, compassionate people I know and I am so grateful that our paths crossed here at Covenant.
